Second day in the pool

Conversation among fellow swimmers:

Swimmer 1: I managed to knock against only three people today. Wow! That is an achievement!
Swimmer 2: (to me) This pool is really crowded. It is the survival of the fittest here!
Swimmer 1: If anybody knocks you, just elbow them and then apologize... [Oh my! I really need to watch my back in this pool!]
Swimmer 2: (to me again) The surprise element was, someone was doing backstroke diagonally across the pool!!
Me: (looking surprised) Oh! [Dang! That would be me! :O]

Note: Like in the Mahathma's blog, things said within '[]' would imply my thoughts.
Note 2: I am pretty decent with my free-style. Honest. And umm... my backstroke is good too except that i lose my sense of direction...

I'd need a compass to swim backstroke. And it's amazing what you can learn from other people's conversations if you hang around and look innocent ;)

I need a life jacket to swim! So, congrats on being ahead of me in the swimming department. I always start panicking and then think I'm sinking and then- okay I'm going to give myself a panic attack thinking about it!

So being in a pool is like driving, only more physical contact. Thanks for the warning!

Trish - Ah, that is an idea. A compass is what i need! And oh yes! We can learn a LOT from those conversations!

Brandy - Hmm... Wonder if it'll be a consolation for you to know that i learnt to swim only two summers ago...

Mahathma - Guts, well, they may have it. But elbowing while swimming and to make it look unintentional, that will be difficult.

Nancy - Ha ha... Well, this pool that i go to, it is like that. There are other pools which are better.

Bungz ... is the pool really that bad?? Will think twice about joining then! Your blog looks really nice and bright by the way! Sorry but as you can see I haven't checked blogs in a long while! :-)

Emmm... The pool is definitely not one of the cleanest ones i have seen. Yeah. Try it out for a couple of days before signing up long term.

Thanks you for the comment about the new look!
