Rain Rain

Things I like about rain season

Getting wet on the way back home

Feeling cozy when I wake up in the morning

Water supply for the next one year!

Awesome weather

Riding my bike on beach road when it pours

The memories this kinda weather brings back

Staring out of the window when it is pouring cats and dogs outside and losing myself in my thoughts

Things I don't like about rain season

Getting wet on the way to work

Getting splashed by some stoopid truck/auto/whatever else

Clothes don't dry quick

The damp feeling in the air

The lethargy that sets in

Reduced road space and bad roads and bad traffic and dangerous wet roads and hidden potholes…

The way many of our clients are affected as they live in low-lying flood-prone areas… Their businesses get affected too.

Great lists. They read like poems. They remind me of life in Ireland. I always had an extra pair of socks in my backpack! Never knew when I'd get stuck on the way to work and there's nothing worse than wet feet all day! Rain on the beach, though....I love it, too.

My sentiments exactly!!!!! But nothing beats a drizzle on the beach, esp wen u r with ur loved one or maybe playing cricket.

Like Sandy said, they read like poetry. Very nice. Makes me think the rain isn't all that bad ... though the sun being out the past couple of days has been a nice change! xx, c

Sandy - Gee, thanks. And carrying an extra pair of socks is wise. I should think of carrying an extra set of clothes. Perhaps i should just keep them in the office. Oh, i got a new rain jacket yesterday!!

The Street Cricketeer - :-) The drizzles are lovely!!! Sometimes, it just makes you want a downpour...

Clarissa - He he. I think i would appreciate the sun as much as you do if i were living in London. But not when in Chennai, i suppose. :D And thanks for the compliment. :D :D

Gomathy - Mud spa!! LOLOL.. Indeed! Yeah, i love the rains too... Except for the reasons i mentioned. :P

CW - Ooooh! I am heading to your blog right away...

Just can't pull myself out of bed, every morning, that's the most difficult part of rains. Have been skipping my morning gym for the last one month just because it has been a rainy season !!

I liked how you did this. It was well balanced. I agree with the others who expressed how it reads like a poem.

Archana - I was wondering what happened to coffee. But it's ok. One week was too short a time anyways. Hope you had a good time though. :)

Nadine - Thank you, Nadine. :-)

Jude - And point number 2 would be?

Hey bhuv!! Liked the list.. Guess what! Now that i am back in Bangalore and it's raining here too, just realised something- Bangalore rain sucks! Chennai rain is always welcome!! Everybody around me has the flu.. Can't get any worse! I miss Madras!!

I love watching small kids walking in pairs to school in their raincoats in the rain...

and playing soccer in the beach when it rains

and girls who purposely wear white shirts and t shirts and get drenched when it rains :-)
